Kassu is a relatively new online casino on the block, having been launched by Genesis Global Limited in 2019. It’s one of many operators owned by Genesis, but Kassu immediately stands out as a site that has stamped its personality onto the white label setup. This self-professed hipster casino is bright, colourful and full of charming cartoon-style drawings.

As for the casino itself, there’s a great range of games, bonuses and payment methods available to use at Kassu. Still, no site is perfect, and in this impartial review we’ll be digging into the nooks and crannies of this casino so you can make an informed decision about whether it’s the right place for you. Read on to find out more, and if you like what you hear, you can click through to sign up, claim a welcome bonus and get started.

Pros and cons

  • Quirky and engaging site design
  • Huge range of slots and casino games
  • Wide variety of payment methods
  • Mobile app available on Android
  • 40x wagering requirements on the welcome offer and existing customer bonuses
  • Mobile app not available on iOS

Welcome Bonus

New customers at Kassu can pick up a welcome bonus when they make a qualifying deposit of at least £10. The offer consists of a 100% deposit match up to £100, plus 50 free spins to play on the slot games 9 Pots of Gold, Hyper Gold, and Gold Collector: Diamond Edition. The 100% match is a solid deal that allows you to effectively double your money when you get started on the site. What’s more, having some free spins thrown in will please slots fans, particularly if they like the look of these shiny gold-themed games.

The main downside with the offer is that all bonuses are subject to 40x wagering requirements. This means it’ll be very challenging for players to actually withdraw any cash from the bonus. Still, it offers a nice opportunity to get to grips with the Kassu site and its range of games.

Games

Blackjack

Blackjack players have a nice range of game variations to choose from at Kassu, which in turn brings different options in terms of the aesthetics. Varying formats here include back blackjack, single deck blackjack, multihand Vegas single deck, European blackjack and Premier blackjack with side bets. Kassu doesn’t offer much information about the minimum and maximum stakes, but the amount of variation suggests there’ll be plenty of options in this regard. Not sure whether to play RNG blackjack or live blackjack with other players? Evolution’s First Person game starts off solo but allows you to go live at any time.

Roulette

With 45 in total, there are even more RNG roulette games at Kassu than blackjack, and coupled with the live dealer selection, there’s loads of variation for players to enjoy. Software providers featured here include iSoftBet, Evolution, and Relax Gaming, so if you aren’t keen on the aesthetics of one, there’ll be plenty of other options. All the main roulette styles are covered, including European, American and French roulette. There are also modern alternatives including the multiplier-filled Lightning Roulette, and Roulette x5, which offers a 5x payout chance on every win.

Slots

There’s a huge selection of around 1,800 slot games available to try out at Kassu. Naturally, there’s plenty of variation within this collection, thanks not only to the high quantity but the vast range of software providers featured — big-hitters such as NetEnt, Play’n GO, Red Tiger Gaming, Microgaming, Big Time Gaming and Pragmatic Play all reside here.

Slots are categorised into five main sections on the site: video slots, jackpots, classic slots, Must Fall jackpots, and Megaways slots. Players can also browse by provider, which is really handy if you’ve already got some firm favourites and would like to find similar games. Head to the NetEnt category, for example, and you’ll find Steamtower, Starburst, Hotline, Gonzo’s Quest, Fruit Shop, and much more.

Live Casino

If you’re a fan of bringing the authentic live casino experience to your device, wherever you are, Kassu’s collection of games won’t disappoint. Sourced from top providers like Evolution Gaming, the table games on offer here are streamed from suave, purpose-built studios in Latvia, Malta, and beyond.

Players who prefer something a bit more light-hearted can head to the ‘other games’ section — here you’ll find anything that isn’t roulette, blackjack, and baccarat, including the likes of craps and sic bo, but it also features a great selection of live game shows. The likes of Monopoly Live and Crazy Time are presented by lively and charismatic hosts, and offer a nice shake up from the calmer, traditional table games.

With plenty of variation within each category — for example, speed blackjack, power blackjack, and blackjack party — you’re unlikely to find a better selection elsewhere.

Design & Usability

Kassu’s site is neat and tidy and easy to use. The main menu bar on the left-hand side brings up an option to join the site, followed by tabs for info on the welcome offer, promotions, an about section, and a guide to the payment methods available.

Each tab for the different categories of games available has its own image, with the yellow background of each one tying in nicely with the general site theme. Once you’re in, there are helpful subheadings to find specific types of games. That said, under ‘casino games’, anything that isn’t blackjack, roulette or baccarat is lumped together under ‘other’, so it might be better to separate the game shows from craps and sic bo, for example.

You can’t directly search for providers, but you can browse each one’s selection of games under their respective headings, which is a helpful addition to the site.

Mobile

Kassu has a native mobile app ready for download for Android users, but unfortunately doesn’t have an equivalent for iPhones. iOS users can, however, still access Kassu’s mobile site via their browser and the functionality is much the same as the app. You’ll be able to make use of Apple Pay this way, too.

The Android app states it has over 1,300 games, which is fewer than the 2,000 hosted on the desktop site, suggesting there’ll be a few games missing. Still, it’s a large collection of games to pick from. There’s no mention of exclusive bonuses, but you’ll benefit from the option of push notifications so you never miss out on the latest promotions.

Promotions

So, what promotions are up for grabs for customers at Kassu beyond the initial welcome offer? There are regular weekly deals hosted by each of the site’s ‘kassettes’ — these include a free spins deal on a Tuesday if you wager £10 from Friday to Monday. There’s also a Fab Fridays promotion where you can grab a 25% bonus up to £50 when you add funds to your account. Both these deals have 40x wagering requirements attached, so are there any other options? Well, there’s also a promotion run by Pragmatic Play where you’ll have the chance to win a portion of a £125,000 prize pool. To get involved, simply join in with weekly tournaments and daily prize drops on selected slot games across the site.

Cashier

With 15 different payment methods available to use at Kassu, this site offers a better range than the vast majority of UK online casinos. Apple Pay is available to enhance the site’s debit card capabilities, while there are plenty of alternatives if you’d prefer not to share your bank details. These include pay by phone services such as Boku, electronic vouchers like Paysafecard, the Open Banking intermediary Trustly, and a better collection of e-wallets than we’ve seen anywhere else — PayPal, MuchBetter, MiFinity, Jeton, Neosurf, Skrill, Neteller, ecoPayz, and eZeeWallet are all ready and waiting.

The minimum deposit at Kassu is £10 across the different payment services, while the maximum is £5,000 in most cases — Paysafecard has a lower deposit maximum of £200, while Boku’s is £30. Withdrawal times, meanwhile, are instant for e-wallets or 1–3 days for Visa and Mastercard, while the minimum withdrawal amount is £10. This is pretty standard across the industry, although some sites do offer a £5 minimum withdrawal.

VIP and Loyalty Reward

Kassu’s VIP offering is a little elusive, as it appears to have been removed from the main homepage and doesn’t offer many details regarding how to get involved. This suggests that it’ll be offered to loyal customers as and when, rather than using a points-based system. Perks of the VIP program, when available, include an account manager, birthday presents, exclusive holiday packages, bonuses and promotions, rapid response times, VIP prize draws, and more.

Our Verdict

On the whole, Kassu ticks most of our boxes when it comes to an original and exciting casino experience. There’s a great range of 2,000 games across the site, including slots, table games, live dealer action and plenty more.

The mobile app is easy to use and features the same quirky iconography dotted around the desktop site. The only downside here being the lack of an app for iOS users.

The main drawback of the site is the 40x wagering requirements attached to most of the offers. While this isn’t out of the ordinary at online casinos, it does make it very difficult for players to actually withdraw any bonus cash. So, we’d like to see these brought down at some stage, particularly for the existing customer promotions. While a welcome bonus is a helpful way to try out the site, regardless of the wagering requirements, the same can’t be said for current player promos.

To end on another positive, we were really impressed with the number of payment methods available to use here at Kassu — users will have no problems finding one that suits them, whatever their priorities may be.
