BetMGM launches online poker apps in Pennsylvania

BetMGM has launched its online poker apps in the state of Pennsylvania.

The online sportsbook and casino operator BetMGM has launched its BetMGM Poker and Borgata Poker apps in the state of Pennsylvania.

This comes after the operator launched its BetMGM Poker product in the state of Michigan last month.

The BetMGM Poker and Borgata Poker products in the state will be powered by the PartyPoker US network. Players will be able to play a range of poker variants, enter signature poker tournaments and cash games at several buy-in levels.

Both poker apps will also integrate MGM Resorts’ M life Rewards program, which allows players in Pennsylvania the opportunity to redeem points earned through gameplay for real-life rewards at MGM properties across the US.

BetMGM Poker features a single-wallet integrated with the BetMGM sportsbook and online casino products in the state of Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, the Borgata Casino and Borgata Poker products in the state share a single wallet.

Adam Greenblatt, Chief Executive Officer at BetMGM said: “Pennsylvanians can now experience our superior poker offering through both BetMGM Poker and Borgata Poker.

“We’re eager to expand our platform to a larger online audience, and give players in the Keystone State safe, accessible and entertaining poker options.”

Ray Stefanelli, Director of Poker at BetMGM, said: “Pennsylvania customers will find that BetMGM Poker and Borgata Poker provide engaging experiences for both new and seasoned players. The partypoker US Network supports the online poker community, providing access to training initiatives designed to help all participants strengthen their play.”

The launch comes after BetMGM launched its Borgata Casino app in the state of Pennsylvania in February. This marked the launch of BetMGM’s second online casino product in the Keystone State.

Poker in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania legalised online poker via a massive gambling expansion bill in 2017 alongside online casinos and online sportsbooks.

After two years, online poker went live in the state of Pennsylvania in 2019 with the launch of the PokerStars online poker product.

Now that BetMGM has launched its poker products in the state, Pennsylvania poker players will have an alternative to PokerStars’ poker product.
