The National Football League’s Chicago Bears have inked their first sports betting partnership.
The National Football League’s (NFL) Chicago Bears have announced an exclusive sports betting partnership with Rivers Casino and BetRivers.
This marks the team’s first-ever partnership with a US sports betting brand.
The multi-year partnership was signed between the NFL team and Rush Street Interactive, the parent company of BetRivers, and Rush Street Gaming’s Rivers Casino which is based in Illinois City in Chicago.
Under the deal, BetRivers will become the team’s official sportsbook partner while Rivers Casino will become the Bears’ official casino partner.
The BetRivers and the Rivers Casino brands will appear on prominent in-stadium signage and on the team’s digital, social, and print assets.
In addition to this, BetRivers will be the title partner for the team’s customised Free to Play Game on the Bears’ official app. BetRivers customers will also benefit from promotions for exclusive Bears prizes and experiences.

Sports betting in Illinois
In July 2019, Governor J.B. Pritzker signed Illinois’ gambling expansion bill into law, making Illinois the fifth state to legalise sports betting that year.
The Illinois sports betting market went live on 9 March 2020 with the launch of a BetRivers-branded sportsbook at Rivers Casino Des Plaines.
Online sports betting went live in the state when BetRivers launched its online sports betting platform on 18 June through Rivers Casino des Plaines.
The state’s latest monthly report revealed a 1.2% month-on-month drop in sports betting revenue in April 2021.
In April, bettors in the state wagered $537.2m on sports which in turn generated $43.6m for sportsbooks in Illinois.
