FanDuel enters content and distribution deal with SportsGrid

FanDuel has signed a content and distribution deal with SportsGrid.

FanDuel Group has announced a new strategic content and distribution partnership with the North American 24-hour sports betting network, SportsGrid.

SportsGrid is based in New York City and launched its TV service last year in association with Sportradar. The network offers live and original programs daily, providing coverage of major American sports leagues along with odds, injury reports, news and expert analysis.

What’s covered in the deal?

Under the multi-year agreement, FanDuel has become the official partner of SportsGrid and will have exclusive category access to broadcast, digital distribution, syndication, and radio assets across SportsGrid’s gambling and lifestyle network. This network is available via on-demand TV services such as XUMO and Roku.

As SportsGrid’s exclusive sportsbook, casino, racing and fantasy sports partner, FanDuel will collaborate with the network on more than 50 hours of original video and audio content every month.

The network will also exclusively promote and feature FanDuel’s odds, promotions, and data on both branded and unbranded shows. FanDuel will also sponsor Meadowlands Studio 1 and SportsGrid’s New York City Studio 34 as part of the agreement.

Matt King, chief executive of FanDuel, said: “We’re excited to provide our loyal fantasy and sports betting customers with more ways to learn, play and win through this exclusive partnership with SportsGrid.

“By deepening our partnership with SportsGrid, we can bolster our distribution footprint in the US and differentiate our content offerings, equipping more fans with the data and intelligence needed to make informed decisions, whether finalising a lineup or placing a wager on a big game.”

Louis Maione, president and founder of SportsGrid, said: “Millions of sports fans rely on our real-time data and intelligence as they formulate their fantasy or sports gaming strategy.

“FanDuel has been a great partner for us and furthering our partnership with such a recognised leader in the space helps us better serve the community and strengthens our position as the premier free sports gaming and lifestyle channel.”

FanDuel in the US

The fantasy sports provider turned sports betting giant has established a major presence in the US gambling space.

Earlier this week, FanDuel announced the launch of a standalone casino app for Pennsylvania customers. In mid-June, FanDuel also secured a sponsorship deal with the NFL’s Denver Broncos, marking the first-ever sponsorship deal between a sports betting operator and an NFL team

The US sports betting giant FanDuel has also extended its partnership with the data supplier Sportradar giving the sportsbook access to official NFL league data. FanDuel is one of the first major US sportsbooks to sign up to Sportradar’s NFL data feed and now has access to data from all major US sports leagues from Sportradar.
