FanDuel is looking to expand its presence across the US with Cordish Companies.
Over the weekend, Flutter Entertainment’s FanDuel Group announced a strategic partnership with Cordish Companies for sports betting in the US.
Cordish Companies is the real estate and entertainment company that operates the Live! casino in Maryland and the Live! Casino and Hotel that is under construction in Philadelphia.
What’s covered in the deal?
Under the deal, Cordish and FanDuel will work together to launch FanDuel branded sportsbooks at Live! venues in Pennsylvania. FanDuel will open sportsbooks at Live! Casino and Hotel in Philadelphia and at Cordish’s Live! satellite casino in Westmoreland County.
The two companies will also work together to explore sports betting and online gambling opportunities in Washington DC, Maryland and other states.

Sports betting in Pennsylvania
There are currently 10 land-based and seven online sportsbooks operating in the Keystone State.
Mobile and online sports betting officially went live in Pennsylvania in May, when SugarHouse Casino launched its online betting platform, PlaySugarHouse.
Currently, Pennsylvania bettors have access to a handful of online betting options, which include Unibet, DraftKings, FanDuel, SugarHouse, Rivers, Parx and Fox Bet.
