Fox Bet becomes an official partner of the Philadelphia 76ers

Fox Bet is working to establish its presence in the Philadelphia sports betting space.

Fox Bet has been named as an official sports betting partner of the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers.

While Fox Bet is already an authorized gaming operator of the NBA, this is the first deal between a sports betting company and an NBA franchise.

With this agreement, Fox Bet will benefit from increased exposure across several of the NBA team’s platforms.

What’s covered in the deal?

Under the deal, the Fox Bet brand and app will be promoted across the 76ers’ digital and social media platforms as well as courtside advertising space.

Fox Bet will also sponsor game replays shared on the 76ers’ official Twitter account and will be the representing partner for the team’s radio game broadcasts on sports radio station 97.5.

Robin Chhabra, Chief Executive Officer of Fox Bet said: “To have the opportunity to tie the FOX Bet brand to one of the most iconic sports franchises in NBA history is absolutely thrilling. This agreement connects us with an extremely passionate local fanbase in a unique way. We are proud to be associated with the 76ers franchise as they kick off what I’m sure will be a successful 2019-20 season.”

Adam Davis, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment Chief Commercial Officer, said: “Fox Bet has masterfully honed its unique brand positioning in the US; an experienced, longstanding European sportsbook, a savvy media company, and now an affiliation with the 76ers that further endears its brand and product to the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey market and sports community.”

Another deal for the 76ers

Although this is the first deal between a sports betting company and an NBA franchise, it is the second deal for the 76ers with a gambling company.

In October, the 76ers struck a deal with Parx Casino making the land-based venue the teams’ official local casino partner.

Under this deal, Parx will offer a variety of promotions based on how the 76ers perform in the 2019-20 NBA season.

Fox Bet in the US

In May, The Stars Group (TSG) and Fox Sports, a subsidiary of the Fox Corporation, announced a partnership to launch Fox Bet, a new sports betting service across the US. The Fox Bet brand went on to launch in late August in New Jersey, replacing the BetStars sports betting brand.

Shortly after its launch in New Jersey, Fox Bet launched its sports betting platform in the state of Pennsylvania, making it the fifth online sportsbooks to enter the Keystone State.
