Hard Rock’s New Jersey sports betting platform to launch soon

The Hard Rock casino in Atlantic City is expected to launch mobile sports betting operations soon.

The sports betting platform is to be powered by Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), the company that powers Hard Rock’s online casino platform.

The news of Hard Rock’s sports betting app broke on Friday when a press release was published early on GiG’s website and PRNewswire. The press release was taken down shortly after.

Although there is no official launch date for the Hard Rock sports betting platform it is possible that it will go live before the Super Bowl which takes place on Sunday 3 February.

According to the press release, New Jersey residents and visitors will be able to place wagers via HardRockSports.com and on Hard Rock’s mobile sports betting app.

Hard Rock’s sports betting app will be available on both iOS and Android devices.

When the app goes live, bettors will be able to bet on a variety of sports including football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer and college sports.

The Hard Rock app will become the 10th sports betting app available in New Jersey. Earlier this month, Australian sports betting platform PointsBet went live in New Jersey.

Once Hard Rock officially launches sports betting operations it will become the eighth Atlantic City casino to offer sports betting.

According to a report from the Associated Press, on Friday the casino received approval from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) to begin testing sports betting equipment and systems.
