IGT partners with Boyd Gaming for sports betting in Nevada

International Game Technology (IGT) has partnered with Boyd for Nevada sports betting.

International Game Technology (IGT) has entered a long-term sports betting partnership with the US casino operator Boyd Gaming for sports betting in Nevada.

The deal

Under the terms of the agreement, IGT will provide Boyd Gaming with its PlaySports platform to provide support to the operator’s land-based sportsbooks in the state of Nevada. In addition to this, IGT will support Boyd’s mobile sports betting application and online betting platform.

On top of this, Boyd will roll out IGT’s self-service betting kiosks at its gambling venues in the Silver State.

IGT said its platform will allow Boyd to improve its backend system navigation and update app content with real-time data and betting trends.

Customers in Nevada will also benefit from having access to a range of new bet types, features, and conveniences. IGT and Boyd plan to take a phased approach to roll out different aspects of the deal.

Enrico Drago, IGT PlayDigital Senior Vice President: “IGT and Boyd Gaming will create a dynamic omnichannel sports betting product that is sure to stand apart in Nevada, the most mature and high-volume sports betting destination in the US.

“IGT’s PlaySports platform enables Boyd Gaming to differentiate its sports betting product in meaningful ways that position them to attract new players and grow revenue in the segment.”

Another deal for IGT in the US

On top of entering a sports betting partnership with Boyd in Nevada, earlier this week IGT announced it had signed a two-year contract extension with the New York Lottery. With the two-year extension, IGT will continue to work with the New York Lottery until 6 August 2022.

As part of the deal, IGT will deliver 400 new GameTouch self-service vending machines to the Lottery and continue providing the Lottery with an advanced central system, terminals, and ongoing services.

Earlier this month, IGT  extended its existing deal with FanDuel for sports betting and online gambling to cover the entire US gambling space.

This built upon an existing deal between the two companies where IGT was responsible for powering FanDuel’s land-based sportsbooks in nine states, including the FanDuel sportsbook located at Meadowlands Racing and Entertainment in New Jersey.

Under the extended deal, IGT’s PlaySports platform will be used to power all of FanDuel’s existing, and new land-based sportsbook across the entire US until September 2024.

IGT PlayDigital’s arm will also provide FanDuel with its PlayCasino games in states where FanDuel offers online casino gambling. At the time of writing, FanDuel offers online casino gambling in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
