The New Hampshire Lottery has chosen its partner for sports betting.
Intralot has agreed to extend its contract with the New Hampshire Lottery and will now provide it with land-based sports betting solutions throughout the state.
This news comes just days after DraftKings was awarded an exclusive contract to offer online sports betting in the Granite State. Both Intralot and DraftKings scored the highest in the New Hampshire Lottery’s competitive bidding process for sports betting.
What’s covered in the contract?
Under the expanded contract, Intralot will provide the New Hampshire Lottery Commission with sports betting solutions.
According to the press release, Intralot will offer sports betting at more than 1,300 of the state’s existing lottery retailers in early 2020.

Byron Boothe, Interim CEO of Intralot Inc. said: “Through this contract amendment to provide our leading sports betting technology, we will power the New Hampshire Lottery and will expand its well-established operation with new and exciting entertainment options while attracting a new demographic of players.”
Sports betting in New Hampshire
In July, New Hampshire became the second New England state to legalize sports betting. Land-based, online and mobile sports betting is now legal under the state’s new law. The law allows the New Hampshire Lottery to award licenses to 10 land-based venues and five online and mobile sportsbooks.
Although the state’s law allows five different mobile operators to serve the state, it looks like DraftKings will act as the state’s sole mobile sports betting operator.
Bettors in the Granite State must be 18 years old and can create online accounts remotely from anywhere within state lines. The bill also permits in-play sports betting via online platforms only.
However, New Hampshire’s betting law prohibits wagering on collegiate events that take place within state lines.
