Meadowlands in New Jersey grants CG its final online sports betting license

Meadowlands Racetrack in New Jersey has inked a deal with the Nevada operator CG Technology for the venues final online sports betting license.

With the license, CG Technology will launch and operate its own branded online and mobile sports betting platforms in New Jersey.

According to a press statement, the CG sportsbook is set to launch later this year.

Parikshat Khanna, CEO of CG Technology said: “We are delighted to enter the New Jersey market and bring forth our decade-plus of experience catering to customers in the country’s biggest gambling market.

“As an early mover in the Nevada sports wagering business, we always envisioned national expansion that would give American consumers more product options.”

Jeff Gural, Meadowlands Chairman and CEO said: “We are excited to announce this partnership with CG Technology. We are confident CGT, with its years of experience, will bring some new and inventive offerings that will appeal to the New Jersey online and mobile sports wagering market.”

Under New Jersey law, each sports betting license holder to partner with up to three companies in order to offer mobile and online sports betting services.

Last year Meadowlands partnered with FanDuel Sportsbook for both mobile and land-based sports betting.

The second license was granted to PointsBet, after Meadowlands entered an agreement with the Australian sportsbook in July last year.

Last month the PointsBet sports betting platform went live in New Jersey.
