Parx Casino in Pennsylvania is set to launch sports betting operations on Tuesday

Parx Casino in Bensalem, near Philadelphia, is set to launch its sportsbook on Tuesday, becoming the fourth land-based sportsbook in the state of Pennsylvania.

The Parx sportsbook will open to the public from 2 pm on Tuesday. Tuesday’s launch will be a soft launch as the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) requires all new sportsbooks in the state to go through a 48-hour test period.

As long as there are no problems, the sportsbook will be fully operational by the weekend.

So far, three other sportsbooks have opened for business in Pennsylvania. In November, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course launched sports betting operations.

In December, both SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia and Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh launched sports betting operations.

According to a report from the Philadelphia Inquirer, Parx will launch sports betting operations at its Bensalem venue next week and sports betting at the South Philadelphia Turf Club “Should be up and running soon.”

Sports betting operations at Parx’s venues will be operated by Kambi, which also runs the sportsbook at the SugarHouse venue that opened in Philadelphia last month.

Upon its opening, the sportsbook at Parx Casino in Bensalem will feature seven teller windows and 26 self-service kiosks located throughout the casino.

The Inquirer added that Matthew Cullen, Senior Vice President of interactive gaming and sports at Parx, said that they are still working on Parx’s online and mobile betting operations.
