The Premier League begins a typically frantic month of December with a full slate of midweek matches spread across three nights. There are three games on Tuesday, including Newcastle vs Tottenham, while on Wednesday six more include high-flying Sunderland travelling to face Liverpool at Anfield, before the action concludes on Thursday with West Ham the visitors at Old Trafford to face Manchester United. Arsenal lead the way by five points after a third of the season, with Manchester City up to second spot after the weekend ahead of Chelsea and Aston Villa, while down at the bottom Wolves’ tally of two points from 13 games means the Molineux side already appear destined for relegation.
