With £125m signing Alexander Isak apparently getting back to full fitness and ready to start at the London Stadium, Liverpool fans may get some relief in the capital on Sunday afternoon. West Ham’s defence, which has contributed to home defeats against Chelsea, Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Brentford already in the league this season, remains vulnerable. Expect Isak and his Liverpool team-mates to put a difficult spell behind them by outclassing the Hammers. This fixture produced a 5-0 victory for Liverpool about a year ago and they can assert their superiority again. 

Tip 2: Over 3.5 goals in Tottenham vs Fulham @ 11/5

Tottenham’s Champions League fixture at Paris St-Germain on Wednesday night saw eight goals and some comical defending. Spurs conceded five in Paris and left manager Thomas Frank tearing his hair out. The Lilywhites have conceded 11 goals in their last three games and Fulham will head to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium feeling well capable of getting on the scoresheet. The chances of four or more goals in the game appear high, yet that scenario can be backed at 11/5. With Spurs conceding at an average of once every 20 minutes in their last two games, it would be a surprise should goals not be on the menu when they host the Cottagers.

Tip 3: Chelsea to win 1-0 vs Arsenal @ 11/1

Arsenal’s defence has been watertight this term, but they conceded their first Champions League goal of this season on Wednesday and could be vulnerable against a rejuvenated Chelsea attack on Sunday. Arsenal chief Mikel Arteta would probably be content with a point from Stamford Bridge, keeping their closest title challengers at arm’s length, so the Gunners may set up more defensively than normal. Expect a tight, tense contest and chance Chelsea to win 1-0.

With Brazilian ace Estevao showing his quality on Tuesday night against Barcelona, Chelsea have a host of attacking options with which to challenge Arsenal, and the Blues may eventually break the league leaders down.
