Unibet becomes an “Authorized Sports Betting Operator” of the NBA

Kindred Group’s Unibet is continuing to make waves in the US sports betting space.

Earlier today, Kindred Group announced that its Unibet brand has become an “Authorized Sports Betting Operator” of the NBA.

This news comes just weeks after Unibet completed the launch of its online sportsbook and casino platform in Pennsylvania.

What’s covered in the deal?

Under the agreement, Unibet will gain access to official NBA sports betting data and league marks for use across its online and mobile platforms in the US.

On top of this, Unibet and the NBA will work together on a number of initiatives to help protect the integrity of NBA games.

Manuel Stan, SVP of Kindred US, said: “We are very proud to team with the NBA.  This will add further customer value to an already first-class betting experience thanks to official NBA betting data and league marks across our mobile and retail platforms.  Kindred shares the NBA’s view on a legal and sustainable sports betting market, which makes this partnership a perfect match.”

Unibet in the US sports betting space

In January, Kindred announced a partnership with Mohegan Sun Pocono to bring the Unibet sports betting and casino brand to the Keystone State. In September, Kindred launched a Unibet branded land-based sportsbook at the Mohegan Sun casino.

Pennsylvania is the second state to feature Unibet’s online sports betting platform. Unibet initially entered the US sports betting market through a partnership with Hard Rock Atlantic City. The online sportsbook brand officially launched its online betting platform in New Jersey in September.

In early November, Unibet struck a multi-year partnership with the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles which will see Unibet become an official partner of the team. Later on in November, Unibet completed the launch of its online sports betting and online casino platforms in the state of Pennsylvania.
