This feels like a huge game for Mike Leach and his Bulldogs. Leach is yet to win an Egg Bowl since taking over in Starkville and will be desperate to get one over Lane Kiffin. Kiffin meanwhile is the subject of a lot of rumors surrounding the head coaching job at Auburn, which will no doubt have been a topic of conversation in the Ole Miss dressing room. Ole Miss is on a big slide, having lost three of their last four, and I expect that to continue here.

Florida State may well be one of the most in-form teams in college football at the moment. The Gators, on the other hand, lost to Vanderbilt last week. All the momentum is with Mike Norvell’s team here, and the home advantage should make a big difference. I’m taking the Noles to win and win comfortably.

All season I’ve been of the belief that this Michigan team was built to beat Ohio State. They’re bigger, stronger, and more dominant in the run game. That all said, Blake Corum’s injury status completely changes things. After he went out against Illinois, Michigan looked bad and JJ McCarthy isn’t good enough to put the team on his back. I’m now leaning towards the under, as I struggle to see where we’re getting 57 points from in a game I think could be a defensive battle.

It goes to show quite how dominant Alabama has been in recent years that a two-loss season is a down year for the Tide. They should handle Auburn quite handily here on their way to an NY6 bowl game. I can’t see Auburn scoring more than 14 points and Bryce Young will be keen to stuff the stat sheet in what will be his final game at the Bryant-Denny Stadium, so even though the spread is aggressively large, I’m backing them to cover and I’m laying the points.

It was important for the Ducks to bounce back last week after their shock loss at home to Washington and they did exactly that against Utah. As there was last week, there are some doubts over Bo Nix’s availability for the Ducks this week, which makes betting on the line tricky. This will be one of the better defenses Oregon has played all season, and the Beavers like to run the ball a lot, meaning I like the under here.

Aggies fans are just praying for this season to be over. They’ve got countless injuries (both of the legit and transfer portal-related varieties) and it’s just gone from bad to worse for Jimbo Fisher and his team. A lot of these players won’t be playing at Kyle Field next year, and I struggle to see how they get motivated for this one. LSU is the complete opposite, with a College Football Playoff berth in Brian Kelly’s first year still possible if they win out. LSU to cover.

This Notre Dame team is not the same outfit that lost to Marshall and Stanford earlier this season. They’re on a great run and the defense is playing some great football. USC hasn’t faced a D this good all season and may struggle to get things going. This is my underdog pick of the week, and it should also be noted that you can never underestimate the ability of a PAC12 team to blow their playoff chances last in the season.

This feels like another nice upset line here. The Apple Cup had been dominated by the Huskies for years until last year when Wazzu ended a seven-year skid, and I fancy another here. Michael Penix Jr. has been inconsistent this year and this Cougs’ defense could throttle him and the Huskies’ offense a bit.
