History of Pointsbet
2021
January sees PointsBet celebrate the official launch of its sportsbook in Iowa. Online sports betting with PointsBet arrives in Michigan that same month, and in West Virginia in August.
2020
PointsBet arrives in Indiana in March in time for bettors in the Hoosier State to place bets on the Big Ten Tournament and March Madness. In August, PointsBet announces that it will become the official sports betting partner of NBC Sports in the US. Come September, the site goes live in Illinois, and the following month PointsBet announces a deal with Genius Sports to offer live streaming online and on mobile.
2019
PointsBet debuts online in New Jersey in January. In August, PointsBet opens a retail sportsbook in Catfish Bend Casino in Burlington, Iowa, its first retail presence. In September, the PointsBet sportsbook launches for online and mobile betting in Illinois. In October, the company announces it will set up a headquarters between Coors Field, Balls Arena, and Union Station in Denver’s LoDo neighborhood. PointsBet launches online in the Centennial State in November.
