Mr. Mega is a new sportsbook that launched in 2021, offering a wide range of sports betting markets ‒ including almost 2,000 football markets ‒ and a fully integrated casino and live casino.
We’ve peered beneath the surface to see whether Mr. Mega is worthy of a place in our list of sportsbook recommendations. Our expert reviews analyse every facet of the sports betting process, including available payment methods, customer support, site usability, and more. If you like what you see, you can use our links to click through and sign up to the site. Let’s get started.

Our Verdict

If you’re looking for comprehensive coverage of 40 different sports, then Mr. Mega offers all of that and more. In particular, its football coverage is one of the best of any sportsbook, with nearly 2,000 different markets available. And if you enjoy taking a break from relentless sporting entertainment, there’s an integrated casino and live casino all just a click of the homepage away.

But we’d be lying if we said this was a perfect betting site. There’s a limited number of promotions for existing members, and we think fees on some deposits are unnecessary. We’d also like to see the development of a dedicated app, but Mr. Mega is a new betting site, and this may well be in the pipeline.

If our criticisms of Mr. Mega aren’t a hindrance to your betting needs, then this is a thorough, well-presented sportsbook with the added benefit of its own online casino ‒ click through to the sign-up page using our link and claim your £10 free bet.

Promotions

We think Mr. Mega could work a little harder in terms of ongoing promotions to its customers. At the time of our review, the acca boost was the only available promo ‒ it’s an excellent offer that will benefit many punters, but compared to other sportsbooks on the market, the promotions page is a little thin.

Sports available at Mr Mega

One of the best things about Mr. Mega is its impressive range of sports and betting markets. There are 40 different sporting categories available to bet on, including eight esports markets. There’s also a Politics and Awards section for those who enjoy placing bets on non-sporting events.

The best-represented sports are football, tennis, basketball, American football and ice hockey ‒ all of these have over 100 different markets on offer. Placing football in this category is a bit of an injustice though, since there are almost 2,000 different football betting markets available. In England, market spread covers leagues and teams all the way down to the seventh tier, and punters can wager on competitions in 57 other footballing nations.

Live Betting & Streaming

Live betting is very much part and parcel of sports betting these days, and there’s a wealth of live markets on offer at Mr. Mega. As you might expect, esports coverage is extensive in this area, with games ongoing 24 hours a day. But with such broad football coverage too, you’ll also be able to find in-play markets in this area at any time; for example, there were 93 live football markets available at the time of writing.

One of the most prominent features of in-play betting is the ability to cash out ‒ an option available to all Mr. Mega punters. To qualify for a cash out, the bet in question must have a minimum stake of 10p with combined minimum odds of 1/10.

Unfortunately, there’s no live streaming service at Mr. Mega.

Odds

We always like to see sportsbooks offering bet builder functions, or the ability to request a bet via social media, so it’s a shame not to see either of these options available on the Mr. Mega desktop site.

However, as part of an ongoing promotion, customers are able to boost potential returns on accumulator bets. If you select a minimum of four pre-match selections at minimum odds of 1/2, your payout will be given a 4% boost if it comes through. These odds boosts build steadily all the way to a maximum of 15 selections, where there’s an incredible 77% inflation on potential returns.

App Review

Mr. Mega is yet to introduce its own native app, which we can excuse seeing as the site only launched in 2021. We’ll be keeping a close eye on app development from this sportsbook, since we believe it offers a superior betting experience on both the sports and casino side of things.

In the meantime, Mr. Mega members are able to place bets and play casino games from their mobile browser. The mobile site is identical to the desktop equivalent, offering its three verticals at the top of the homepage. Market coverage is just as extensive on mobile, so you’ll be able to place wagers on 41 different betting categories, with in-play betting available on the majority of these.

Interestingly, mobile bettors have the option to customise their own bet slip with a bet builder feature on the mobile site. We’re not sure why this feature isn’t an option for desktop users, but we welcome its place on the mobile site all the same. This feature is only open for those betting on football, American football and baseball.

Design & Usability

The Mr. Mega site is well-organised and easy on the eye. At the top of the page, users have the option to click on each of the operator’s three gambling verticals: sports betting, casino and live casino.

In the sports betting tab, every available sport is clearly presented on the left-hand side of the screen and is accompanied by the number of markets available in each. This gives users an instant understanding of where the sportsbook’s specialities lie, directing them towards markets that capture their interest. The homepage also gives a broad selection of all the in-play markets happening right now, and there’s a Favourites tab available for those who want to quickly return to their regular betting sections. As we’ve discussed, football is the premier event at Mr. Mega, and there are quick links on-site to Europe’s top five domestic leagues and two international club competitions, as well as Championship betting markets here in the UK.

If you like the idea of combining wagers with casino play, you can easily navigate from one section of the site to the other. Just click on the Casino or Live Casino tabs at the top of the homepage, and you’ll immediately be given the choice of over 600 first-class casino games.

Cashier

There are seven different depositing options at Mr. Mega, with punters choosing their preference from Visa and Mastercard debit cards, Trustly, Bank Transfer, Paysafecard, and the e-wallets PayPal, Skrill and MuchBetter.

This is a decent range, but we’d like to see a couple more payment methods made available ‒ perhaps a pay by mobile service like Boku, or another prepaid card like AstroPay.

Deposit and Withdrawal Times/Limits

All of the payment methods at Mr. Mega process deposits instantly.

On withdrawals, e-wallets are the best option in terms of speed, with all requests via these methods returned within two business days; in many cases, you’ll receive your withdrawal much faster than this, often within an hour. For Trustly withdrawals, waiting times range from 0-4 working days; for debit cards it’s 0-6 working days; and for Bank Transfer, waiting times range from 2-6 working days. Paysafecard withdrawals aren’t available.

Minimums on both deposits and withdrawals are set at £10 for all payment methods. We’re disappointed to see that a 2.5% fee is levied on deposits made via debit card and PayPal ‒ the two most popular payment methods at UK betting sites. It’s not something you usually see, and Mr. Mega would be a better sportsbook without it.
