The confetti has fallen and the Kansas City Chiefs are in the midst of celebration following their 38-35 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.
While Patrick Mahomes and Co. enjoy this one, the end of the season means a clean slate for 2023-24. The sportsbooks have already unveiled Super Bowl odds for next season, and there is a familiar group of names at the top.
The Chiefs will head into the offseason favored to repeat as champions with odds of +600, according to BetMGM on February 13. Their foe in this year’s AFC Championship Game, the Cincinnati Bengals, hold the second-best odds at +850.
The Bengals made last year’s Super Bowl and will still boast a stacked roster next season because even if star quarterback Joe Burrow receives a contract extension, the big money is not going to hit the cap for a couple seasons.
The sportsbooks believe there is a clear top-5 of Super Bowl favorites next season at this early juncture:

The Bills were the Super Bowl favorites for much of this season and should still return a strong roster led by quarterback Josh Allen. However, some pieces will start getting stripped away as his cap hit jumps to nearly $40 million. Buffalo was outclassed by the Bengals in the AFC Divisional Round and will need to find a way to win in the postseason next year.
The 49ers were great down the stretch but third-string quarterback Brock Purdy was hurt early in the NFC Championship Game, extinguishing their shot at a championship. Purdy is rehabbing elbow surgery this offseason but is expected to be the starter next season ahead of Trey Lance. Either way, San Francisco will return one of the strongest rosters in the NFL.
The Eagles were close to a championship and have many key cogs returning next season. However, they could see some attrition with quite a few players set to become free agents. They may also lose both of their coordinators to head coaching jobs.
The Dallas Cowboys lead the next tier of Super Bowl championship hopefuls, followed by the Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers. Here is a look at the odds to win the 2023-24 Super Bowl for the rest of the NFL, according to BetMGM:
