It’s more than likely that you’ve already heard of Unibet — if not from its regular TV ads, then probably from one of its many sponsorship deals with football clubs and sports teams around the world. PSG, Aston Villa, Ajax and the Philadelphia Eagles are just some of the names associated with Unibet betting, which includes both a sportsbook and online casino.

We’re only interested in the casino side of things for the purposes of this review, so read on to learn more about what’s on offer at the Unibet casino. We’ll be discussing its range of games and software providers, various payment methods, and of course, its generosity in the bonus section. Let’s begin.

Pros and cons

  • Over 2,000 games supplied by 85 developers
  • Dedicated mobile app
  • Exclusive games
  • Lots of ongoing promotions
  • Integrated sportsbook and casino
  • On-site tournaments and loyalty points scheme
  • High wagering requirements on welcome bonus
  • Small number of RNG table games
  • High minimum withdrawal for debit cards

Welcome Bonus

Signing up and depositing £10 at Unibet will reward players with a £40 bonus to use in the casino. The bonus money will be credited to your account as soon as you’ve made your first deposit, and you’ll have 30 days before it expires.

At 50x, the wagering requirements are too high for our liking. It means that players will need to wager a total of £2,000 before they can request a withdrawal of bonus funds — a sum beyond the realms of possibility for many. Those depositing with PayPal, Skrill, Neteller or Paysafecard won’t be able to access the bonus.

Games

Blackjack

Although the Unibet games library is vast, one area where it’s found wanting is in RNG table games. There are only nine blackjack games in this format on offer, but even so, these titles are still supplied by five different developers. We particularly like Felt Gaming’s Blackjack 21+3, which works as a kind of hybrid with three-card poker, and of course includes the 21+3 side bet.

Roulette

Again, there’s less choice for fans of the wheel, with four RNG roulette games in total. All of them are low stakes games starting at 10p, with the exception of Realistic’s European Roulette, where bets start at 20p. These titles are a good place to learn the ropes, but we like the added jeopardy of Felt’s Double Ball Roulette: double the betting calls, double the action.

Slots

If you’ve come to enjoy the world’s best slots, Unibet certainly delivers. There are almost 2,000 of these games alone in its library, supplied by 85 different software developers. This includes the industry’s most prestigious and respected studios — NetEnt (78 games), Play’n GO (211) and Pragmatic Play (147) to name a few — and many other smaller names you might not recognise just yet.

With so many games to choose from, it’s vital that the selection is easy to filter through. Unibet understands this, offering lots of categories to help split up the collection. This includes sections for Megaways slots, Vegas slots, jackpots, Unibet favourites, and any drop & win titles. In addition to this, Unibet also delivers an exclusive collection of 27 games, some of which involve spinning the reels.

Live Casino

There are over 300 live casino games at Unibet — another impressive figure. What’s even more impressive is that some of these games are exclusive too, with Unibet investing in their own live studio to produce unique titles. We’ve not found many other online casinos offering this, if any.

Don’t worry though — the majority of Unibet’s live casino games are supplied by aficionados Evolution (232 games) and Pragmatic Play (90). There are 186 blackjack tables alone, all streamed from authentic casino environments and managed by professional croupiers. Bets on these games begin at £1, but some tables set minimum bets of £1,500, so there’s something here for players of all budgets.

Roulette fans are slightly less catered for, but with 48 tables available, there’s still plenty of variety here. Betting stakes on these games start at just 10p, so those just getting familiar with roulette and live casinos will feel more at ease in this section.

Rounding out Unibet’s live casino are games of baccarat, poker, sic bo, and 25 game show titles. There are also low stakes games and others that are inspired by board games and TV game shows, which are presented by a real host.

Design & Usability

The Unibet site is a pleasure to use. There’s nothing outstanding in its appearance, but everything is carefully presented and organised into helpful sections. Whether you’re looking for bingo and slingo games, casino tournaments, or the Unibet blog, the site makes it easy to navigate across its many areas. You’ll also find lots of helpful supplementary information in the Help Centre, which covers everything you need to know about the casino. And if you fancy switching things up and placing a bet on the tennis, you can switch over to the sportsbook whenever you like.

Mobile

Unibet customers can download the dedicated mobile app for exceptional mobile gameplay. The full suite of games has been migrated over — and with 2,328 of them, this is an impressive achievement.

We always recommend downloading casino apps if you’re able. In our opinion, they offer a superior gambling experience for a few reasons: keeping up with bonuses is easy thanks to the notifications; loading times are faster than in a mobile browser; and members can customise their own pages to promote the most relevant games.

But if you’re hesitant to download the software, you can still enjoy the Unibet casino on the go through your mobile browser.

Promotions

Existing members at Unibet have plenty of opportunities to pick up some bonuses. Most of these come in the form of slots tournaments, where players compete with one another to register the best score on the leaderboard within a given time frame — there were three of these promotions running at the time of our review. There’s also a blackjack happy hour from 6pm to 9pm Monday-Friday, offering up instant cash prizes at the table. And if you feel like bringing some mates in on the action, you can refer up to three friends and pick up a £150 bonus for each successful referral.

Cashier

Unibet customers have eight different depositing options: debit cards, bank transfer, Trustly, Paysafecard, Apple Pay, and the e-wallets PayPal, Skrill and Neteller. Minimum deposits for debit cards, Skrill, Neteller and Apple Pay are £5; for Paysafecard, PayPal and Trustly it’s £10. Deposits from all of these methods will be processed instantly with the exception of bank transfer, which will take 1-3 days. Bank transfer deposits also have no minimum or maximum limits, so might be the best option for high rollers.

Withdrawals are possible with all of these methods apart from Paysafecard, so you’ll need to use that option in conjunction with another. The fastest withdrawal method is Apple Pay, which the casino says will be processed within a few hours. e-Wallets are the next fastest at a maximum of 12 hours.

This is a decent selection and will please almost every online casino player. Our only criticism is the minimum limit on debit cards withdrawals — we’d like to see this lowered from £15, given it’s the most popular payment method at UK casino sites. A pay by mobile service like Boku would also bolster the menu but we’re being picky here.

VIP and Loyalty Reward

Unibet customers can collect loyalty points on-site — but only if they’re playing bingo or poker games. These work in exactly the same way: players will pick up points every time they buy a bingo ticket or play a real money poker wager. There are five different grades to the loyalty scheme, and your bets will accrue more points the further you progress through the ranks. These points can then be redeemed for casino-related bonuses in the Unibet loyalty points shop.

Our Verdict

Unibet ticks a lot of our boxes. Its huge games library is a breeze to navigate thanks to the site’s helpful categorisation; there are plenty of ongoing promotions for existing players, as well as a handy loyalty scheme for bingo and poker fans; and it has an integrated sportsbook all available via its dedicated mobile app. It’s one of the most reputable betting brands in the UK at the moment, and it’s easy to see why.

As is customary in these reviews, however, we do have a couple of niggling criticisms. We’d like to see the wagering requirements reduced on the welcome offer, and the same goes for the minimum withdrawal limit on debit cards. Those looking for a decent range of RNG table games will probably want to look elsewhere too, but this is a matter of personal preference.

If you agree that Unibet is a top online gambling destination, then click through to the site, sign up, and claim your £40 casino bonus.
