Week 4 of the NFL is upon us and with history being made it should be another enthralling week of action in what has already been a pulsating season. Sunday sees the NFL play a regular season game in Dublin for the first time as Croke Park plays host to Pittsburgh Steelers’ clash with Minnesota Vikings. Alongside that there is a full slate of games for punters to get their teeth into.
NFL Week Four Preview
Week 4 kicks off with Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks facing off on Thursday Night Football before the historic game between the Steelers and Vikings in Dublin. The two blockbuster games on Sunday night see Baltimore Ravens visiting Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys hosting Green Bay Packers. Following that there are two Monday Night Football games as Miami Dolphins take on New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals face Denver Broncos.
Tip 1: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Minnesota Vikings – Vikings -2.5 @ 20/23
The Vikings and Steelers are both 2-1 coming into this historic clash at Croke Park, but MInnesota should arguably be stronger favourites than they are. The Steelers have been extremely fortunate to face two poor teams in the Jets and New England Patriots and they still barely scraped over the line against those two. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is just 6-22 with two interceptions thrown when pressured and against a Vikings team who are rock-solid defensively, that spells trouble. Take the Vikings to cover the 2.5 point spread.
Tip 2: Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Philadelphia Eagles – Over 43.5 points @ 10/11
Two of the three teams who have started 3-0 in the NFC face off when Tampa Bay Buccaneers host Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday evening. The Eagles have already beaten the Cowboys, Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams, but face a tough test against the Bucs, who have impressed with Baker Mayfield under centre.
Wide receiver Emeka Egbuka is already putting on a show with 181 yards and three touchdowns for the rookie. The Eagles’ running game cannot be underestimated either, so over the points total looks a solid pick in this one.
Tip 3: Kansas City Chiefs vs Baltimore Ravens – Baltimore Ravens moneyline @ 4/6
The Chiefs and Ravens have been two of the best teams in the AFC in recent years, but one of the pair will finish Week 4 with a 1-3 record after their Sunday night meeting. Kansas City have won three of the last six Super Bowls and also finished as runners-up in two of those years, but time finally may have caught up to them.
An 11-yard rush from Patrick Mahomes is their longest play on the ground so far this season and, with Xavier Worthy injured and Rashee Rice suspended, they have struggled to make explosive plays in the air. Side with the Ravens to win this one.
