Premier League Outright Winners Betting Preview

Anticipation is building ahead of the start of the Premier League season and the summer transfer activity has seen the title contenders beef up their squads ahead of the new campaign. Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea all look to hold realistic title hopes and the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham, Newcastle and Aston Villa could also have a part to play this term.

Tip 1: Arsenal to win the Premier League @ 9/4 with bet365

Arsenal have finished as runners-up in the Premier League for the last three seasons, but the time looks right for the Gunners to be crowned champions. Mikel Arteta’s men failed to keep tabs on Liverpool last term and, while the Reds will offer stiff competition this term too, the north Londoners look to be in a better position this time around. Arsenal were hit hard by injuries last season and a smallish squad would have played its part with Arteta unable to rotate his side as much as he would like.

However, the arrivals of Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera and Christian Norgaard have beefed up Arsenal’s roster, while youngsters Max Dowman, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri have developed to become full members of the Gunners’ first-team plans. It remains to be seen just how effective Gyokeres can prove in the Premier League, but there is no doubt that the Gunners have upgraded in the striker position. The north Londoners look rock-solid in defence, David Raya is a top-level goalkeeper and Arsenal can continue as the Premier League set-piece experts. Everything looks primed for a title run and Arsenal can be backed to claim the Premier League crown.

Tip 2: West Ham to be relegated @ 5/1 with bet365

The promoted teams Burnley, Sunderland and Leeds United are the three favourites to be relegated from the Premier League this season, but there could be a surprise. Of course, Ipswich Town, Southampton and Leicester City were sent straight back to the Championship last term, but that trio were chasing Spurs and Man Utd for safety and it’s likely to be quite different this time around.

West Ham collected 43 points last season, but the Hammers won only two of their last 11 Premier League games and key forward Mohammed Kudus has left for Tottenham this summer. Incomings have been in short supply, whereas Sunderland and Leeds have added plenty of quality to their squads. There is already unrest amongst the east London fanbase and it would be no surprise if Graham Potter’s men were dragged into trouble this season.

Tip 3: Brighton top-four finish @ 16/1 with bet365

Liverpool and Arsenal look booked for a top-four finish, but the other two spots look up for grabs. Chelsea have been massively overrated due to their Club World Cup success, Tottenham and Man Utd have huge ground to make up, Man City only collected 71 points last season and Newcastle and Villa haven’t had the best transfer windows.

Brighton have lost Joao Pedro to Chelsea, but losing players in big-money transfers is nothing new to the Seagulls and the south coast side look a huge price to finish in the top four. Fabian Hurzeler’s men only finished eight points off fourth-placed Chelsea last season and they can be expected to put another good show this season. Albion will need plenty to go their way if they are to move up the Premier League this term, but offers of 16/1 appear to underrated the Seagulls’ chances.
