Kevin Durant has requested a trade out of Brooklyn, and there is a clear favorite to become his next destination.
The Phoenix Suns have -225 odds to be Durant’s next team, according to DraftKings on Thursday afternoon. That dwarfs any other potential landing spot, as the Philadelphia 76ers have the next-best odds at a distant +700 odds.
The Suns began as the favorite when news broke that Durant wanted out, but the odds were +200 for the perennial All-Star to end up in Phoenix. However, over the course of an hour, the odds steadily shifted in Phoenix’s favor, finally settling at -225.
The Miami Heat were initially seen as the other potential destination because Durant reportedly liked both spots, but reports that Bam Adebayo could not be involved in the trade, combined with Phoenix’s improved standing, has pushed the Heat from +250 to +800 underdogs.
The Chicago Bulls have +1000 odds to trade for Durant, and a return to the Nets has also been set at +1000.
