Tottenham and Chelsea clash in the capital this weekend, after both teams featured in the EFL Cup on Wednesday. Thomas Frank’s men exited the competition following a 2-0 loss to holders Newcastle United, while the Blues overcame Wolves in a seven-goal thriller at Molineux.
Focus now switches back to Premier League duty, as we enter gameweek 10 of the 2025/26 campaign. Saturday evening’s keenly anticipated London derby will be screened live on Sky Sports Main Event, with kick-off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium scheduled for 5.30pm.
Both teams to find their way onto the scoresheet
Spurs have only netted five times on home soil in the Premier League this term, with three of those goals coming in the opening weekend victory over Burnley. However, the Lilywhites are the division’s joint top scorers – alongside Saturday’s opponents and a resurgent Manchester City outfit – having registered 17 goals already. Meanwhile, Chelsea’s first four away league matches produced a colossal 16 goals, with the Blues also involved in several high-scoring affairs in European and domestic cup action. After keeping two clean sheets ahead of the first international break, the West Londoners failed to prevent the opposition from scoring in nine of their next 11 outings across all competitions.
With another three precious Premier League points up for grabs, both teams are expected to adopt an aggressive attacking approach from the get-go. For that reason and those outlined above, there should be plenty of goalmouth activity at both ends.

Back the hosts to prevail
Although there is plenty of evidence to suggest the visitors can achieve a positive result, Chelsea arguably head into this encounter as marginal underdogs. Spurs have only beaten Saturday’s opponents once in the last 13 Premier League meetings between the pair, when goals from Oliver Skipp and Harry Kane handed them a 2-0 win in February 2023. Since that rare triumph, Chelsea have inflicted four consecutive defeats on the North Londoners. Moreover, only four of Tottenham’s 17 points this season have been earned on home soil, after poor performances against Bournemouth, Aston Villa, and Wolves followed that early one-sided contest with newly-promoted Burnley.
However, it’s difficult to ignore Spurs’ lofty league position, which is undoubtedly a fair reflection of their impressive efforts over the past few months. With three losses in their last five Premier League fixtures, there’s also Chelsea’s patchy form to consider. Furthermore, it’s worth noting that both of the Blues’ away victories this season have come against clubs who have since dismissed their managers – a 5-1 thrashing of West Ham heaped further pressure on Graham Potter before October’s convincing victory over Nottingham Forest hastened Ange Postecoglou’s departure from the City Ground.

A tempting two-fold bet-builder
After receiving 18 bookings and three red cards during the initial stages of the Premier League campaign, Enzo Maresca’s men possess the worst disciplinary record in the division. There have been further Chelsea dismissals in the cup competitions, with João Pedro receiving his marching orders against Benfica before Liam Delap’s sending off against Wolves in midweek. Remarkably, both players had earlier been introduced as second-half substitutes in each instance.
Only London rivals Arsenal have taken more corners than Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea this season, with all three of these teams regularly sourcing goals from set-piece deliveries. Saturday’s protagonists are currently sat on 56 corners a piece, which equates to an average of just over six per game for each team. Therefore, combining bets from the red card and corner markets offers plenty of value.
