Travelers Championship Betting Preview

The final Signature Event of the season takes place this week as TPC River Highlands plays host to the Travelers Championship in Connecticut. Wyndham Clark won the US Open at Shinnecock Hills last week, but there are several players who were in contention at the third Major of the year in the field for this tournament.

Action begins on Thursday and Sky Sports Golf will be showing the action from 8pm each day. Scottie Scheffler leads the betting market at 4/1 as he seeks a second Travelers Championship, having won the tournament in 2024. He hasn’t won since January, however, and missed out on completing a Career Grand Slam by four shots to Clark at Shinnecock.

Tip 1. Matt Fitzpatrick to win @ 18/1 with bet365

At one stage during the US Open, Fitzpatrick was only three shots off the lead and it looked as though he could offer a genuine challenge to win his second Major title. In the end, though, the Englishman finished 22nd after rounds of 74 and 73 over the weekend. With three wins in just 15 starts this season, Fitzpatrick is a man in form. He has yet to miss a cut in 2026 and while his performances in the Majors have been disappointing, he will be looking to bounce back ahead of the Open in a few weeks.

Since missing his cut at this tournament in 2020, Fitzpatrick has improved his results each year, finishing 49th, 36th and 17th from 2023 to 2025. On that basis, he will surely challenge for the title this time around and given his form, don’t be surprised to see the 2022 US Open champion make it win number four this year.

Tip 2. Keegan Bradley to win @ 40/1 with Betfred

Keegan Bradley has some excellent recent form at TPC River Highlands, winning this tournament in 2023 and 2025. Three years ago, the American finished with a score of -23, the lowest score to win the event in 43 years. Things were tighter last year, as he saw off Russell Henley by a single stroke. While his form hasn’t quite been as consistent this season, if there was ever a place for the former USA Ryder Cup captain to get back to his best, then it is here in Connecticut. His best finish of the season was a tie for 12th at the RBC Heritage in April, but he has a chance to better that this week.

Tip 3. Harris English to win @ 50/1 with bet365

Harris English has played the Travelers Championship on 12 occasions since making his debut in 2012 and has made the cut in 10 of those appearances. He won the tournament in 2021 in a play-off for his fourth PGA Tour title of his career. A few poor performances followed, but English bounced at the event last year, finishing fourth, just two shots behind Bradley. Remarkably, this season English has finished outside the top-30 only once in tournaments where he has made the cut and that was at the Cadillac Championship in May. The highlight was finishing fourth at the RBC Heritage and should he get off to a bright start at the Travelers, the 36-year-old has a great chance of challenging for his second title here.
