Under 3.5 Goals @ 2/9
Wolves’ matches have the lowest average goal return of any side in the Premier League, with only 17 goals scored in their 8 games so far, an average of 2.13 per game. Only 2 of their 8 matches have seen over 2.5 goals scored and there have only been over 3.5 goals scored in 1 of their last 13 home matches, a 3-1 defeat to Manchester City in September. Southampton’s matches have been largely the same, with under 2.5 goals scored in 5 of their 8 games, and the Saints could be without 2 of their key goalscorers in Danny Ings and James Ward-Prowse, who have both suffered injury recently. We’re backing this one to be another tight game between two decent outfits and under 3.5 goals is 2/9 with Coral.
Both Teams to Score: No @ 20/23
At least one team has failed to score in 6 of Wolves’ 8 Premier League games, a league high, and Nuno’s side have also seen at least one team fail to hit the back of the net in 13 of their last 15 home games in all competitions. Southampton’s record in the Premier League is similar, with both teams scoring in only 3 of their 8 matches so far. The Saints have a good record on the road but with some key men looking set to miss out on their trip to the Black Country, they could well struggle to score in this one so we’re backing ‘no’ in the both teams to score market at 20/23.
Raul Jimenez to Score Anytime @ 13/10
Wolves’ Mexican talisman has picked up where he left off last season and has struck 4 goals in 8 games in the Premier League this term. He scored 27 in all competitions for Wanderers last season and was on target in both their home and away games against the Saints. Jimenez scored twice in Wolves’ 3-2 win at St Marys’ and Wolves’ goal in the 1-1 draw at Molineux and we fancy him to be on target again in this latest game. Jimenez is the favourite to score anytime at 13/10 with Ruby Bet.
