FanDuel announced that it has entered into a multi-year partnership with the National Hockey League (NHL).
The partnership makes FanDuel an official daily fantasy partner as well as an official sports betting partner of the league.
This NHL partnership will allow FanDuel to offer daily fantasy players access to exclusive NHL content and prizes like VIP experiences at NHL events.
Gary Bettman, NHL Commissioner said: “Teaming up with an industry leader like FanDuel furthers our strategy of aligning with leading brands that share our vision of using new platforms and technology to drive innovation and engage and excite hockey fans.”
FanDuel also entered a separate sports betting agreement with the New Jersey Devils.
The agreement with the Devils marks the first time FanDuel has partnered with an NHL team for sports betting.
The partnership with the Devils will allow FanDuel to have its logo featured as an ‘in-ice’ logo which will be displayed during all of the Devils home games.
FanDuel will also be able to offer live and in play betting options for the team on the FanDuel Sportsbook app.
Kip Levin, COO of FanDuel Group said: “Our partnership with the New Jersey Devils allows us to be on the ice during the action and in-game messaging is the perfect way to reach hockey fans during the games.”
