Turkey or Draw @ 4/11
This group is wide open going into the last matchday, with Russia, Hungary and Turkey all still in with a chance of finishing top and qualifying. Turkey claimed their first win of the tournament at the weekend having come from a goal down to beat Russia 3-2 in Istanbul, whilst Hungary could only draw at home to bottom side Serbia. The Turks are unbeaten in their last 6 games and have played some strong opposition in the likes of Germany and Croatia in those games and have now only lost 2 of their last 20 matches overall. One of those defeats, however, came in the reverse fixture of this match, when Hungary beat them 1-0 in September. Hungary aren’t in bad shape themselves, having only lost 1 of their last 7 matches, a 3-2 home defeat to Russia in September. But they have failed to win 4 of their last 6 games on home soil which is why we think Turkey should just about have the edge in this one given the quality of their recent performances. You can back the away side in the double chance market at 4/11.

Turkey have seen 28 goals scored in their last 10 matches, and have been part of some seriously high scoring games of late, including a couple of 3-3 draws against Germany and Croatia and a 3-2 victory over Russia last time out. 8 of their last 12 matches, including each of their last 5 games have all produced 2 or more goals and the same can be said for 16 of their last 17 away games. Hungary, meanwhile, have seen 22 goals scored in their last 10 games, an average of 2.20 per game and 10 of their last 12 games on home turf have produced at least 2 goals. Turkey’s matches of late rarely disappoint in this market and we reckon this one shouldn’t either, so we’re opting for over 1.5 goals to be scored at 17/50 with Ruby Bet.
Turkey have only failed to hit the back of the net 3 times in their last 16 games, whilst Hungary have only drawn a blank 3 times in their last 19. 6 of the Hungarians’ last 8 home matches, and 9 of their last 16 games overall have seen both teams score and given Turkey’s recent matches there’s a good chance we’ll see both teams on target in this one. All of Senol Gunes’ side’s last 5 matches have seen both teams score, and the same can be said for 9 of their last 15 away games. This one could be another high-scorer and we’re predicting both teams to find a way though at 20/27.
