It’s Super Bowl week, and thus, we are getting started early with some prop bets.
It’s been a banner postseason, as I’ve hit on eight of my 10 prop bet predictions. Here are three more, with additional wagers to come in the ensuing days.
Rest assured, there are no shortage of options when it comes to betting on the Super Bowl.
Jersey Number of First Touchdown Scorer over 11.5 (+105 at DraftKings)
OK, let’s break this down so we know the options on each side of this wager.
- Notable skill players with a jersey number of 11 or lower: Isiah Pacheco, Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Jerick McKinnon, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marques Valdes-Scantling.
- Notable skill players with a number above 11: Miles Sanders, Travis Kelce, Kenneth Gainwell, Dallas Goedert, Kadarius Toney, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Patrick Mahomes and Boston Scott.

Both sides have plenty of guys that could score the first touchdown, but with Kelce and Sanders on the same side of the draw, I’m taking over 11.5 at plus money.
Kelce had a career-high 12 touchdowns in the regular season and has three more in the playoffs. Sanders had 11 touchdowns in the regular season and scored a pair in the NFC Championship Game against the 49ers.
Kelce has the best odds to be the first touchdown scorer at +650, while Sanders is tied for second at +700. Players like Hurts, Pacheco, Brown and McKinnon are also right in that mix, but I like having the top target on the pass-heavy team and the top option on the run-heavy side in this wager.
