The amount wagered on sporting events in October in the state of Delaware decreased to $14.7m from $16m in September.
The total revenue reported by sportsbooks in the state also saw a significant drop to $500,000 with bettors winning back $14.2m
This is a sharp decrease in revenue when compared with Septembers $3.6m in revenue and August’s revenue of $700,000.
In the month prior, Dover Downs handled about $3.3m in wagers while Harrington Raceway took $2m in wagers.
In October the total amount wagered at these venues fell a considerable amount with the number of wagers placed at Delaware Park falling by roughly 40,000.
The state of Delaware has now handled approximately $54m in wagers since sports betting operations began in August and generated a total revenue of $6m.
