DraftKings is the latest gambling company to launch its online casino platform in the Keystone State.
The fantasy sports provider turned sports betting giant, DraftKings, has announced the launch of its online casino product in the state of Pennsylvania.
DraftKings Casino
The online casino platform was launched in partnership with Hollywood Casino, which is owned by Penn National Gaming. The DraftKings casino in Pennsylvania can be accessed via the DraftKings mobile sports betting application.
DraftKings players will be able to access a variety of table games such as roulette, blackjack and three-card poker, as well as slot games.
The new casino platform will also feature a range of themed table felts which can vary depending on the sports and holiday seasons.
With the launch of its online casino product, DraftKings now offers online sports betting, daily fantasy sports contests and online casino gambling in the Keystone State. DraftKings secured its entry into the Pennsylvania gambling market after entering an agreement for sports betting with Penn National’s Meadows Casino Racetrack and Casino.
DraftKings completed the launch of its online and mobile sports betting product in Pennsylvania in November. The operator’s online casino platform is also available to residents in the state of New Jersey.
Online casino gambling in Pennsylvania
In July 2019, Pennsylvania’s online casino market went live with the launch of Rush Street’s PlaySugarHouse online casino. Since then, several online casinos have launched in the state including Hollywood online casino, Unibet online casino, PokerStars Casino and Parx online casino.
In March, Pennsylvania’s online casinos generated $24.3m in revenue up from the $19.5m generated in February. The majority of the revenue came from slot games which generated $12.4m. Table game revenue totalled $8.8m while poker games generated $3.1m in revenue.
Of the state’s online casino operators, Rivers Casino Philadelphia led the market in March after generating $6.8m in revenue. The Mount Airy Casino Resort came in second place with $6m while Valley Forge Casino Resort followed close behind $5m
