DraftKings and Scientific Games have joined forces to launch a new system aggregation platform.
Scientific Games (SG) has launched its OpenGaming product suite in partnership with the daily fantasy sports provider turned sportsbook operator, DraftKings, in New Jersey.
What’s covered in the partnership?
Under the deal, DraftKings will be granted access to SG’s entire library of US titles. These include SG’s in-house games as well as third-party titles from partner studios.
These titles will be available through SG Digital’s Open Gaming System aggregation platform which is a part of SG’s OpenGaming product suite.
Dylan Slaney, SVP Casino for SG Digital, said: “New Jersey is booming right now, and DraftKings has a strong foothold in the market. Throw our content and platform into the mix, and you’ve got a powerful combination of two market leaders that will bring players the best online gaming experiences available today.”
DraftKings in the US
Although DraftKings began life as a daily fantasy sports provider, it has quickly evolved into one of the most recognizable sports betting brands in the US.
Last month, DraftKings confirmed that it would be merging with SBTech. Diamond Eagle Acquisition Corp will acquire the businesses to create a combined entity that will be listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange. According to the announcement, the combined entity will create “the only vertically-integrated pure-play sports betting and online gaming company based in the United States.”
More recently, DraftKings opened a new office in Las Vegas, Nevada, to help support the operator’s expansion plans in the US. This new office in Vegas will house sportsbook traders, and teams that work on the customer experience, fraud, casino IT and HR.
