More casinos are reopening across the US as lockdown restrictions begin to ease.

Eldorado Resorts has announced the reopening of three of its casinos in Missouri and two in Iowa following the temporary closure of non-essential businesses due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Eldorado’s reopening announcement

According to the announcement, the Isle of Capri Casino Hotel Boonville, Isle of Capri Casino Kansas City and Lumière Place Casino & Hotels in Missouri all reopened in the state of Missouri. Eldorado’s Isle Casino Hotel Bettendorf and Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo in Iowa have also been reopened.

The five venues reopened on earlier this week on Monday 1 June.

In its announcement, Eldorado said that each of its venues will operate in accordance with new state-wide measures that are aimed at protecting both staff and customers. In Iowa, the regulations require casinos to limit gaming capacity to 50% so that social distancing measures can be implemented.

Eldorado has also developed its own list of health and safety measures that will be rolled out at all of its casinos when they reopen.

In the announcement Anthony Carano, President and Chief Operating Officer of Eldorado Resorts said: “With our recent successful property reopenings in Louisiana and Mississippi, we are extremely excited to reopen our doors at five properties in Missouri and Iowa this morning.

“As we resume operations at our facilities across the country, the health and safety of our Team Members and Guests remains our number one priority. We have been working very hard over the last two months to prepare for these reopenings and we look forward to providing the outstanding service and hospitality experiences our casinos in Missouri and Iowa are known for in a safe manner.”

With the reopening of the five venues, 11 of Eldorado’s 23 US casinos have reopened following the temporary closure of all US casinos. Eldorado began the process of reopening its venues in late May with the reopening of its casinos in Louisiana and Mississippi.
