signs Southampton shirt sponsorship extension

Cryptocurrency sportsbook has announced an extension to its shirt sponsorship partnership with Premier League side Southampton. 

The sports betting operator, owned by Coingaming Group, originally signed a partnership with the club last August. 

Besides its shirt sponsorship, will continue to participate in local community initiatives – plus more. 

Details of the deal 

The newly-extended partnership will last for three years and is the Saints’ largest-ever sponsorship deal. 

Beyond staying on the front of the club’s shirts,’s partnership with Southampton also includes the possibility to receive some bonuses in Bitcoin at the end of the campaign. These are based on performance-related achievements. 

The sportsbook will also take part in responsible gambling campaigns. Moreover, it will get involved in the local community.

Southampton Chief Commercial Officer David Thomas commented on the extended partnership. He said: “In a short timeframe, has proven to be innovative, forward thinking and extremely supportive of the club, our fans and the wider community, and we’ve welcomed the opportunity to develop and promote safe gambling messages together.

“As such they have become valued partners and we look forward to the next chapter together.”

Also commenting on the partnership extension was Maarja Pärt, Chief Executive of Coingaming Group. She said: “Our first season as Southampton’s main club partner has already exceeded all expectations. We’ve been inspired by the passion of the club and its fans, and it was an easy decision for us to extend our partnership with the Saints for another three years.”

Initiatives has already carried out a variety of initiatives during its partnership with the South Coast side. 

During Safer Gambling Week 2020, the operator helped launch a ‘Listen to the Saint In You’ campaign to raise awareness of gambling-related harms. was also involved in the Positive Impact Pledge launch. This was designed to enable startups and entrepreneurs to apply for grants so they could get their business up and running during the pandemic. 

The operator also donated its shirt sponsorship to the Saints Foundation for the club’s 3-2 win against Burnley on Good Friday.
