DraftKings and Sportradar expand partnership

DraftKings and Sportradar have expanded upon their existing partnership.

Yesterday, daily fantasy sports provider turned sportsbook operator DraftKings and data provider Sportradar, announced a long-term extension to their existing partnership.

This news comes a week after DraftKings Sportsbook completed the launch of its online betting platform in the state of Pennsylvania.

Looking closer at the deal

As part of the expanded partnership, Sportradar will provide DraftKings with access to official sports data feeds, including MLB, NBA and NFL feeds for both sports betting and daily fantasy sports.

DraftKings will also have access to Sportradar’s betting stimulation tools which include live match update cards, match tracking data and widgets that feature questions to bet on.

Neale Deeley, Vice President of US Sales and Gaming at Sportradar said: “We are proud to extend our partnership with DraftKings, one of the most respected gaming companies in the US. DraftKings’ journey into sports betting has been a fantastic success, and we have been honored to be on that journey with them. We look forward to continuing that success for many years to come.”

Ezra Kucharz, chief business officer at DraftKings said: “DraftKings’ goal is to build the best, most trusted and most customer-centric destination for sports fans and our expanded partnership with Sportradar provides us with superior support.

“This partnership will enhance customer experience by allowing us to provide faster turnaround time on our products and give us the opportunity to develop new, innovative offerings for our players.”

DraftKings in the US

In just over a year, DraftKings has transitioned from a daily fantasy sports site to a fully-fledged multi-vertical gambling operator.

DraftKings entered the US sports betting market last year when it became the first sportsbook to launch a mobile app in the state of New Jersey. DraftKings also operates the land-based sportsbook at Resorts Casino in Atlantic City. The sports betting operator also runs an online casino platform in the Garden State.

The DraftKings Sportsbook app is also available in West Virginia and in early October, DraftKings launched its mobile sports betting app in Indiana.

Last month, DraftKings became the first company to receive approval to run daily fantasy sports contests in the state of Iowa.

In New York, DraftKings runs land-based sportsbook operations at Del Lago Resort. DraftKings also runs land-based sportsbook operations in Mississippi at the Scarlet Pearl Casino in Biloxi.
